Front-End Web Development Visualization Intern

ROLE DESCRIPTION
6-months internship, from January to June 2025
This is an exciting opportunity to participate in software development at the Spacecraft Operations Team in a fast-paced, global organization within an innovative and unique industry. Based at our headquarters in Betzdorf (Luxembourg), you will program a front-end web application, which is key to visualize Spacecraft Operations activities as part of our visitor center.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- In co-operation with the Spacecraft Operations team, identify key information which can and shall be displayed in the visitor center without compromising confidentiality and GDPR.
- Implement an automated, reliable and robust code, which reads/modifies data from our backend and visualizes it.
- The code shall be easy to setup and run during a programmable time (e.g. solely during business hours).
- Embed Spacecraft 3D and/or marketing videos to meet the Space Center visitor expectations.
- Meet the requirements of the display hardware (half transparent screen requiring continuous moving picture to avoid burn in).
- Be creative in the realization and be self-organized.
- Implement required functions as requested.
- Identify additional server-side requirements (if needed).
- The internship target is a highly user-focused release candidate.
- Handover of easy to maintain code & user-interface to the Spacecraft Operations Team.
- Handover of a comprehensive documentation to the Spacecraft Operations Team.
YOUR PROFILE
- Being an advanced Bachelor/Master’s student in IT or in a relevant technical area.
- Be user focused and have an understanding of displaying marketing information.
- Excellent analytical and judgment skills, experience with front-end web technologies.
- Strong interest designing and implementing user facing applications (UI/UX).
- Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Work independently as well as in a team.
- Easiness to communicate at all levels. Fluently spoken and written English.
- EU nationality or work permit for Luxembourg.
