- Kitchen crew is responsible to cook at various stations in a high-volume kitchen environment and responsible for creating an exceptional culinary experience for the guests through preparation, cooking and food presentation.
- Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English
- Have general knowledge of cooking temperatures, making soups & sauces, preparing entrees, vegetable preparation and ala-carte cooking
- Possess good vision, hearing and excellent health condition
- Have good time management skills in managing workloads
- Physical stamina to work long hours
- Good communication and organization skills
- Highly committed and responsible
- Able to adapt quickly and embrace change
- The flexibility to work shifts, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Work in the designated station as set by Sous Chef
- Able to organize the assigned work area and able to operate kitchen equipment
- Assist other Team members in the kitchen when needed or perform any other tasks assigned by the management
- Wash and disinfect kitchen area, workstations, tables, tools, knives and other equipment
- Responsible to maintain cleanliness, sanitation at the assigned work area
- Responsible for preparing and cooking all food items by the recipe and to specification
- Prepare ingredients for cooking all food items by the recipe and to storing food.
- Cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards and food preparation checklist
- Check supplies and prep lists and ensures all items are prepped in a timely fashion
- Replenish service lines as needed and restocks and prepares the workstation for the next shift. Clean as you go concept.
- Ensure that all products are stored properly in the correct location at the appropriate levels at all times.
- Communicate any assistance needed during busy periods and report any incidents to the Demi chef or Sous Chef to ensure optimum service to guests.
- Adhere to all sanitation regulations and requirements and also responsible for the correct handling and preparation of all food items and equipment.
- Guide and train the subordinates on a daily basis to ensure high motivation economical working environment.
- Follow all relevant standard operating procedures and health department regulations
- Carry out any other duties as required by management.
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
