Power System Quality Engineer | Data Center | Gelang Patah

Company Background:
A leading manufacturer of prefabricated modular data center solutions, specialize in the data center and power systems industry. With R&D facilities in Shanghai and high-end manufacturing plants in Shanghai and Malaysia, it delivers innovative solutions for hyperscale data center projects globally. The company is located in Johor Bahru, and the actual working location is subject to the project.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead quality assurance activities for power distribution systems, UPS, generators, and associated electrical infrastructure in data center environments.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures, test protocols, and inspection methods.
  • Review and validate technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for power system components.
  • Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations for power quality issues.
  • Oversee testing and commissioning of new power system installations.
  • Monitor and analyze power quality metrics, including harmonics, power factor, and voltage stability.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and corrective action programs.
  • Supervise quality control team members and provide technical guidance.
  • Maintain documentation for quality management systems and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Power Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in power systems quality assurance, preferably in data center environments
  • Strong understanding of power distribution systems, UPS, generators, and power quality standards
  • Experience with quality management systems and ISO standards
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of industry standards (IEEE, IEC, NFPA) related to power systems
  • Experience with power quality measurement tools and analysis software
  • Proficient in both written and spoken Mandarin, essential for communication with Chinese institutions and for operating equipment featuring Mandarin interfaces.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
