R&D Assistant (Food Science)

- Execute product benchmarking trials at lab and pilot plant scale for all the application segments identified.
- Supporting new product scale up by running application trials to ensure product efficacy.
- Support the preparation of samples and food product prototypes for customers.
- Support evaluation and documentation of test outcomes, and report preparation.
- Administers the day-to-day application lab activities including experiments, records and housekeeping.
- Maintain equipment, consumables and ingredients in the application lab in a safe and hygienic condition.
- Maintain the application lab in neat and hygienic conditions in line with 6S practices.
- Monitor the raw materials or ingredients stocks level and feedback to Department Administrator accordingly.
- Ensure product quality and prompt delivery according to schedule.
- Assist Department Administrator in library keeping.
- To perform any other duties as and when required.
- Candidates must possess at least a Diploma in Food Technology / Food Science, or relevant background. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Candidates with 1 – 2 years of industrial relevance, strong analytical and problem solving skills will be preferred.
- Candidates with practical experience in bread-making and confectionery products have an added advantage.
- Candidates with experience from the Emulsifier, Stabilisers or Food Ingredients industries have an added advantage.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Applicants must be able to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
- Highly motivated, a self-starter and eager to succeed.
- Mature, independent and fast learner.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
