Responsibility:

• Liaise and maintain good liaison with regulatory bodies (DOSH, NIOSH, DOE, BOMBA, MOH, JKJR, etc.) to ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
• Waste management including monitoring and inspect the equipment, ensure safety standards have met the requirement of DOE;
• Implement the Company's product stewardship and regulatory compliance programs by applying SHE knowledge.
• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures that integrate Green Book principles, focusing on sustainability, resource efficiency, and reducing environmental impact.
• Lead initiatives that promote sustainability, such as reducing waste, conserving energy, and minimizing the environmental footprint of production processes.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks while considering environmental impacts.
• Design and deliver HSE training programs that emphasize Green Book principles and environmental responsibility, ensuring all employees are knowledgeable about safety and sustainability practices.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement preventive measures. Prepare detailed reports and ensure transparency in incident documentation.
• Develop and oversee emergency response plans that include environmental considerations, ensuring preparedness for potential incidents.
• Foster a positive safety culture by engaging with employees, addressing safety concerns promptly, and promoting proactive safety and environmental practices.
• Maintain accurate records of HSE activities, including environmental performance metrics, and prepare and present reports to senior management.
• Have a good organized filing system in order to have easy retrieval of all related documents ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), ISO 14001:2015 (Environment) & ISO 45001:2018 (Safety)
• To perform other task as assigned from time to time.

Requirement:

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a safety and health role within a manufacturing or industrial gas setting, preferably in industrial gas or a similar industry.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard identification, risk assessment, and accident investigation. Familiarity with chemical gas compounding processes and associated safety risks is a plus.
• Can work independently and enforce compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia
• Required: Green Book Holder, Ce PSWa M - Schedule Waste Management.
• Result-oriented, possess a strong sense of responsibility, urgency and commitment to meet deadlines.
