Job Summary
In the role of an Enviromental Engineer, you will lead and/or support Environmental, Health and/or Safety (EHS) projects and assignments that support and enhance Acero Prime facility performance and compliance standards.

In the role of an Enviromental Engineer, you will lead and/or support Environmental, Health and/or Safety (EHS) projects and assignments that support and enhance Acero Prime facility performance and compliance standards.
Duties and responsabilities
- Identify common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards.
- Ensure EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives.
- Audit safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.
- Monitor periodic performance reports for trends and conditions and alerts line management to problems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering (UADEC, ITS, UANE, or ITESM graduates preferred).
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
- + 25 years old
- Interest in environmental protection and industrial safety practices
- Current or previous experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and local environmental regulations and previous experience acting as a company representative
- Demonstrated experience preparing reports, permits, licenses, plans and associated documents for submittal to Federal, State and local regulatory agencies
- Desirable experience in leading and managing ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
- Knowledge of IATF 16949/ISO9001/ASTM Standars
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Basic understanding of key EHS trends and issues
- Strong focus on working with data, data analysis, and driving projects independently
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment
