About the position:
The Head of Event Strategy and Content leads the overall strategy, development and direction of the events portfolio. Reporting to the EVP of events the Head of Event Strategy and Content is a subject matter expert in one of our core markets (banking, wealth management, insurance, mortgage, or employee benefits) who both programs and leads their own events and oversees a team of Program Managers who sit at the center of the execution of our events.
Content Management – This role is responsible for conceptualizing, creating and developing cutting-edge, engaging, and impactful content that drives audience participation, achieves event objectives, and aligns with our brands’ missions and goals. The role will develop the content direction, themes and structure for their events whilst overseeing the same for the remaining program managers. Developing project timelines, selecting and securing advisory boards, engaging with editorial resources, and conducting market research to ensure that program content aligns with the needs and objectives of the target audience. The role will also be responsible for ideation and conceptualization of new events and new elements of existing events.
Sales – The role will be a driver of success for both delegates and S&E sales. Helping to direct sales to high value target prospects, collaborating to engage sponsors in program content where appropriate and guiding sales on opportunities that align with the program structure and subject matter.
Marketing – Along with the programmers and our marketing team, the role will be instrumental in guiding marketing on the themes and key values of the event to appeal to the target audiences. They will assist in crafting messaging, identifying partnerships and supporting the execution of a well-crafted multichannel marketing strategy.
Operations – As the driver of the program strategy and structure, the position will work closely with the event operations team to ensure seamless execution of our events. From helping to identify appropriate venues and locations, to guiding the event structure and flow, the role will be integral in defining the construction and makeup of our events.
The Role will also have primary ownership of the even P&L working in tandem with both the EVP and the Finance Department to ensure the financial success of the event and adherence to budget mandates.

- Manage a team of producers to develop world-class content.'
- Develop and program your own focused portfolio of events
- Identify trends, conduct market research and assess our industries to launch new events
- Manage program development with strict adhesion to deadlines
- Guide sales and marketing to drive sponsorship, exhibit and delegate sales
- Work closely with EVP to manage event P&L in accordance with budgets and forecasts
Additional responsibilities:
- Help to be a part of the development of a culture of success and fulfillment for our team
- Develop industry relationships and build industry expertise
- Develop the skill sets of program managers to become subject matter experts
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years in content development with 3+ years in overseeing other program managers.
- Subject matter expert in one of our core disciplines, banking, wealth management, insurance, mortgages or employee benefits.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree along with required experience.
