JOB DESCRIPTION
This role primarily focuses Administrative and Indirect Purchasing activities for the four Mexico Technical Center locations - Queretaro, Juarez, Saltillo and Puebla-. Activities includes negotiating contracts, processing purchase orders, evaluating data and supplier management. Facility management, vendors arrangement for maintenance, janitorial, office supplies, etc. This position will require a general understanding of budget management, purchasing policies and procedures, purchasing related laws, agency, legal and ethical obligations.
Specific responsibilities:
Follow indirect purchasing for all MTC locations (Queretaro, Juarez, Saltillo and Puebla)
Primary contact with maintenance suppliers, to assure accomplishment of preventive and corrective maintenance plan for Queretaro and Juarez sites.
Support administrative activities of site (presentations, meetings, manage autos pool), etc.
Budget: Follow up with Finance are for compliance with the Budget. Prepare with Chief Engineer annual Budget
Manage all Purchase Orders of Techcenter Mexico (create, follow up, close)
Ensure Purchase Orders of prototype material for the different BU's
Focuses on negotiating contracts, processing purchase orders, evaluating data and supplier management
Requires a general understanding of purchasing policies and procedures, purchasing related laws, agency, legal and ethical obligations
Clear understanding of supplier terms and conditions
Working knowledge of how supply strategies fit into corporate strategies
Evaluates cost breakdowns to identify opportunities to reduce overall cost
Targets cost book management and impact of time value of money calculations
Soft Skills:
Able to communicate effectively
Good time management and effectively works as a part team
Ability to negotiate (tactics, techniques, and strategies)
