ZF Monterrey Mexico is looking to add a Regional Human Rights Expert to the our team.

What you can look forward to as Regional Human Rights Expert:

• Independent identification, analysis and assessment of Human Rights risks and impacts in the Americas region in close consultation with the global human rights team
• First point of contact for Human Rights issues and concerns within the Americas, including the handling of local and regional cases
• Supporting the global development of the Human Rights due diligence process through continuous input and regional expertise as well as Human Rights expertise in national legislation
• As a member of the global Human Rights team, you will be working closely with other relevant regional departments to anchor Human Rights requirements regionally in the company
• Support in the implementation and monitoring of measures to mitigate Human Rights risks and in the development of local prevention measures
• Representation of the company in regional forums, networks and stakeholder engagements related to Human Rights, such as the industry-wide grievance mechanism MRDH in Mexico
• Creation and implementation of training courses and workshops on Human Rights issues for internal and external stakeholders

Your profile as a Regional Human Rights Expert:

• Successfully completed studies in law, political or social sciences, or equivalent (Master, Dipl.), with a special focus on Human Rights and/or international law
• Professional experience and proven expertise in Human Rights (legal, political and corporate application), international experience desirable
• In-depth knowledge of Human Rights frameworks and laws, both at international and regional level in the Americas
• Very good legal and political analysis and conception skills, team mentality and a structured way of working
• High social skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Independent and structured way of working with a high level of problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel
• Fluency in English, Spanish and other foreign languages is an advantage
• Nice to have experience working with Non-Gubernamental organizations
