We are looking for a Power System Advisor

• Salary range: €3,879 - €7,660 (Scale 8)
• As of January 1, 2025, you will receive a 7% increase in accordance with the collective labor agreement (CAO)

The Power System Advisor focuses on continuously improving effective, efficient, and reliable solutions for grid simulation processes and policies within the System Operation department.
Therefore, you need to work independently and assess how well current systems and new developments are performing according to policy. You will be involved in policy issues, provide risk assessments, and offer guidance on possible solutions from a technical application perspective. You will also advise on optimizing the management and maintenance of the grid model within the application, including its monitoring and development, with a particular focus on the EMS system.
The EMS is the heart of the monitoring and control of the grids operated by Tenne T. It includes various sub-functions such as SCADA, FVR, OTS, and real-time network applications (SE, CA, OPF) for performing real-time grid safety analyses. Control room operators use the EMS to monitor network status, execute switching actions, and conduct network security assessments.

• Develop and elaborate complex assignment in accordance with the wish of the clients;
• Responsible for providing solutions of the assignment and describing these results within the applications and network models used in SOP department;
• Optimize, advice, and provide guidance for managing, monitoring and developing the network models and the assumptions therein for EMS and any other network calculation tools;
• Contributing in increasing knowledge within and outside the team;
• Responsible for transferring the assignment results, its description, and coordinate them with the Functional Application Manager;
• Writing down the change proposals and coordinating the development of these changes;
• Make sure that Functional Application Managers have adequate level of knowledge with the advised solution;
• Participate in projects in which innovation and complex changes of new processes/procedures have to be elaborated.
