As a Corporate Sales Manager at Rosewood Amsterdam, you begin your day by reviewing the latest market trends and updates, allowing you to tailor your sales strategy for the day. You’ll start by reaching out to key corporate clients, understanding their current needs, and positioning Rosewood Amsterdam as their top choice for luxury accommodations and events. Your day involves a mix of client meetings, strategic planning sessions, and collaboration with your colleagues in the Sales & Marketing team. Whether you’re on a call with a prospective client or analyzing the performance of existing accounts, each task is focused on driving revenue and delivering exceptional service. As the day ends, you review your progress, plan for upcoming meetings, and ensure that all client data is accurately captured, ready to continue building relationships and achieving targets tomorrow.

About Sales & Marketing

The Sales & Marketing department at Rosewood Amsterdam is dedicated to maximizing the property’s revenue stream and supporting the achievement of its financial targets. By developing innovative strategies and comprehensive business plans, the team works to increase revenue across various business verticals, including room occupancy, event spaces, leisure facilities, and our exquisite restaurants. The department is central to the success of the property, driving profits while maintaining the highest standards of luxury and service.

Job Summary

As a Corporate Sales Manager, your role is to acquire, grow, and retain selected corporate accounts to maximize the total revenue potential for Rosewood Amsterdam. You will be responsible for qualifying and prospecting new business opportunities while nurturing and expanding existing accounts within defined market segments. Your deep understanding of the market, strategic sales approach, and commitment to excellence will be key to achieving our revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Analysis and Strategy:
    • Understand the competitive market and research selected markets and accounts to gain insights into customer buying behavior.
    • Compile intelligence on market segments and corporate accounts, tailoring sales presentations to align with customer preferences and priorities.
    • Identify key players in corporate accounts and develop strategies to maximize revenue conversion for Rosewood Amsterdam.
  • Sales and Client Management:
    • Be well-versed in the facilities and benefits of Rosewood Amsterdam, presenting these effectively to corporate clients.
    • Plan and execute sales calls to optimize revenue conversion, focusing on priorities agreed upon with the Director of Sales.
    • Present individual sales strategies as part of a quarterly personal business plan to the Managing Director (MD).
  • Representation and Networking:
    • Represent Rosewood Amsterdam at tradeshows, roadshows, sales training, and events, acting as a positive ambassador for the brand.
    • Maintain grooming standards in line with the expectations set by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Data Management and Reporting:
    • Capture timely and relevant customer data in sales databases, ensuring data integrity as per Rosewood Amsterdam’s standards.
    • Attend and participate in regular sales meetings, providing updates on sales account activity.
    • Present weekly and monthly sales reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing, reflecting account management performance.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Contribute to the Sales and Marketing Plan by providing data on market conditions, account dynamics, new business, and retention strategies.
    • Share important account updates with hotel team members across departments to ensure alignment and maximize account potential.
  • Other Duties:
    • Perform all other duties relevant to the successful management of key accounts.

Qualifications

  • Education:Undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Solid experience in the luxury hotel sector, with a strong understanding of key markets.
    • Extensive network of social and business connections within relevant key markets.
  • General Skills:
    • Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy in performing job functions.
    • Ability to prioritize, organize, and follow up effectively.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, remaining calm and using good judgment.
    • Ability to understand and anticipate guest service needs.
    • Team player who works cohesively with co-workers and independently with minimal supervision.
    • Maintains confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
  • Language:
    • Fluent in English; additional language skills are preferred.

Opening in Q1 2025, Rosewood Amsterdam will be Rosewood’s first property in the Netherlands. Located in the historic Palace of Justice, a building rich in architectural, historical, and social significance, the hotel overlooks the beautiful Prinsengracht (the Prince’s Canal) in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Amsterdam Canal District. This prime location offers guests easy access to some of Amsterdam’s finest attractions, including the museum district, the upscale shopping on P.C. Hooftstraat, and the vibrant De Pijp neighborhood.
Designed with care and thoughtfulness, Rosewood Amsterdam will create a welcoming and warm atmosphere, making it a perfect gathering place for both visitors and the local community. The hotel will feature 134 luxurious guestrooms and suites, many with stunning views of the adjoining canals, serene internal courtyards, and the iconic townhouse rooftops.
Guests will enjoy a variety of amenities, including three distinctive restaurants and bars, Asaya spa, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and an indoor swimming pool. For events and meetings, the hotel will offer multiple spaces, including a 3,000 square-foot ballroom equipped with advanced audio and visual services and bathed in natural daylight.
Throughout the hotel, the design will pay homage to the building’s and city’s unique spirit, creating spaces that are both distinct and harmonious. The lobby lounge, for instance, will feature a cozy library adorned with beautiful legal books, photographs, and artifacts, creating an inviting space for guests to relax. All public areas will overlook the three beautifully landscaped internal courtyards, providing a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city.
