SR. SPECIALIST, C&B DESIGN & GOVERNANCE


DEPARTMENT
This role is part of the non-executive compensation and benefits team in the global Total Rewards function, reporting to the Director of Non-Executive Compensation and Benefits. There are dozen people in the team with colleagues in China, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Netherlands, United Kingdom and the United States of America.


We work closely with colleagues in the HR function, finance, legal, procurement and business leaders generally. This role will be based in our new European Headquarters in Amsterdam.


JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES
The purpose of this job is to:

• Proactively develop and improves compensation and benefit policies and processes considering SABIC overall strategy & global employment market trends - to attract, motivate and retain employees.
• Lead the implementation and change management for global and regional polices and processes
• Ensure SABIC has sound governance for compensation and benefits
• Assist in activities related to Mergers and Acquisitions.

The key accountabilities are:

• Leading the global implementation of new/ modified C&B programs, including creation of an appropriate change management strategy in addition to creating policies and training materials and ensuring that C&B policies are embedded in HR systems.
• Proactive development and improvement of C&B brochures, guidebooks, web pages.
• Communicating about C&B to employees, HR colleagues and managers through meetings, training sessions etc.
• Advising the M&A team on C&B matters - for example leading due diligence and developing the strategy and leading implementation for carve-in and carve-out of C&B.
• Proactive evaluation/analysis of the effectiveness of C&B programs leading to recommendations for improvement.
• Program management of global Reward and Recognition and European Regional Company Car Policies.
• Ensuring sound governance for C&B programs.
• Coaching junior members of the C&B team

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Management or a scientific/ engineering/ numerical discipline.
• Ideally certification in Compensation & Benefits or Reward.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in global/ multinational companies, with a minimum of 5 years in C&B roles.
• English Language is a must.
• Key competencies are: Compensation and Benefits, Pensions, Analytic Thinking, Emotional Intelligence, Business Acumen and Global Outlook.
