Founded in 1936, we now have over 48,000 members worldwide, representing the entire spectrum of land use and real estate development disciplines working in private and public sectors.
ULI has been active in Europe since the early 1990s and today we have almost 5,500 members. We have a particularly strong presence in the major European real estate markets with National Councils in 15 countries across Europe, including e.g., France, Germany, Spain, and United Kingdom.
ULI’s main revenue sources come from individual and corporate membership, in addition to corporate sponsorship for a wide range of activities ULI delivers, including events, research and mission driven programmes such as C Change or Urban Plan. ULI has developed a pro-active strategy to grow the philanthropic fund raising to support the delivery of our mission priorities. ,
POSITION SUMMARY
ULI Netherlands is currently recruiting to fill an exciting role for Team Assistant at Senior Associate level, with the aim to help grow our membership base and bring structure and focus in implementing, maintaining and creating content and membership engagement.
We are looking for a proactive individual who is eager to taking on the role of Team Assistant focused on project management support, marketing, administration, organisation, communications, membership data analysis and hands-on event support.
You will work in close collaboration with our Executive Director for the Netherlands and the National Council support, marcomms and corporate accounts teams based in London. Daily work will be in Dutch as well as in English and the role is based in the Netherlands.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
General Administration and Project Management
-
Responsible for member communications, including but not limited to:
- Handling all ULI Netherlands member queries
- Responsible for the ULI Netherlands email inbox
- Sending out mailings, newsletters, invites to ULI members based in the Netherlands
- ULI Netherland website updates
- Responsible for social media accounts for ULI Netherlands
- Pro-active outreach to non-engaged members / members whose membership is expiring
- Assistance in approaching prospective members and creating and executing plans for engagement
- Assistance in scheduling meetings (and recording minutes where needed)
- Create invoices and communicate to members / debtors’ chasing
- Process incoming invoices and liaising with vendors.
Event Support
- Help deliver strong events for ULI Netherlands, together with the Executive Director and our members
- Be the main point of contact for enquiries regarding events
- Co-responsible for all operational on-site assistance prior to and during events (budget, location, catering, AV, contact with speakers etc)
- Help with the registration of delegates before and during the event
- Communication with event delegates pre- and post-event
SKILLS
- Proactive self-starter, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Outstanding customer service skills (in person, via telephone, or by email)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise tasks, and handle multiple tasks concurrently with responsible and thorough follow-up
- Strong organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and highly accurate
- Ability and willingness to travel within the Netherlands (with a focus on Amsterdam)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in Dutch and English (verbal as well as written)
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Three to five years’ experience in office management, customer services, event management and/or administration
- Completed relevant education for the position (HBO (Applied Science) or University level)
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point)
