Where will you work?
Welcome to Fresh Solutions Netherlands B.V. in Waddinxveen, where innovation and top performance come together! As a global market leader and wholesaler in the fresh produce sector, we offer efficient and sustainable solutions to customers and suppliers alongside more than 400 dedicated colleagues. Our challenging work environment includes a spacious warehouse of 36,000 m², where we process an average of 150,000 – 200,000 packages weekly. In our Packing Flowers & Fresh department, over 50 permanent employees and around 200 temporary workers collaborate with a strong team spirit to deliver our fresh products on time to one of the largest supermarkets in Europe. Together with an assistant Team Lead, you contribute to this mission.

Our Waddinxveen location houses three companies: Fresh Solutions Netherlands B.V. (fruits & vegetables), Fresh Solutions Flowers B.V. (flowers & plants), and Greenyard Supply Chain Services (logistics). From here, we supply one of the largest retailers in Germany with fresh products.
Your challenge:
As a Production Team Lead, your role is anything but boring. No two days are the same. From checking the attendance of your team (mainly temporary workers) to distributing tasks, instructing table leaders, and checking labels, your responsibilities are varied. On top of that, you are responsible for the administrative handling of orders, ensuring accurate registration in our system, and working on process optimization.
What does a typical day as a Production Team Lead with us look like?

Early start: The day begins early, with the first employees arriving at 5:45 AM. You check attendance lists and welcome new colleagues.
Preparation: Together with the operations office, you review the production schedule for today and discuss the plan for tomorrow. You ensure that all necessary materials are available and that all key points are clear.
Leadership & supervision: You allocate tasks to your team, hold a short team meeting for daily focus points, and ensure smooth production by monitoring for deviations, problem-solving, and KPI compliance.
Evaluation: At the end of the day, you provide feedback to your team, discuss performance, and identify areas for improvement for even better results tomorrow.

Flexible work schedules: Shifts between 06:00 – 15:00 or 14:30 – 23:00. Saturday shifts are dependent on workload, so you are not tied to a monthly obligation. Our Team Leads schedule shifts in consultation, so you always know what to expect.

Who are we looking for:
Do you have experience in the fresh produce sector and leadership skills in production? Check! Are you precise, stress-resistant, and communicative? Perfect! Good at handling different personalities? Great! And if working with various computer systems and SAP experience are your strong suits, then you are the perfect candidate. Additionally, you will need:

Minimum MBO work and thinking level.
A keen eye for deviations and the ability to prioritize.
Flexibility and no 9-to-5 mentality. Early starts, late shifts, and working on Saturdays are no problem for you.
Good command of the Dutch and English languages.
