Job Description

At Egis Group/Inhabit, we present an outstanding Summer Internship program designed to cultivate a varied set of knowledge and skills. Our interns will have the opportunity to gain exposure to diverse sectors and work environments, kickstarting their industry experience.


Our program is dedicated to nurturing the early stages of your engineering journey, guiding you towards achieving your goals!

We are seeking talented, motivated, and innovative Interns to join our dynamic and high-performing team in Auckland for the Summer (Nov - Feb)!
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design, engineering and documentation for façade and build-ability consultancy inclusive of detailed engineering calculations, analysis, drawings, and specifications.
  • Reviewing contractor submissions, show drawings and calculations.
  • Façade engineering design and buildability consultancy, including material knowledge and installation techniques.
  • Assisting in preparing tender submissions.
  • Liaising and coordinating with the design/project team and other disciplines within Inhabit as required.

Qualifications
You will be working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil / Structures), Architecture or Architectural Engineering - with full work rights for Australia.

In addition to this, you will also have:

  • A passion and appetite for learning, collaboration, and the real-world application of creative solutions!
  • An appreciation and strong interest in structural engineering and facade design
  • An interest in having an impact on the technical delivery of iconic projects around Australia and New Zealand - and are self-motivated.
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian standards and building codes
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Package
  • Great communication skills both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail and an interest in understanding how things work;
  • Strong organisation and coordination skills to effectively work across multiple projects in a timely manner.
