Description
The Higgins Team in Auckland are currently looking for a Plant Operator to join the team at our East Tamaki Asphalt Plant. You will be part of a team of 10 that manufacture between 800 to 1000 tonnes of Asphalt per day. We utilise the latest technology to blend and mix aggregate, bitumen, modifiers, polymers, fillers, and pelletised fibre.
We are open to receiving applications from experienced industry professionals or those with a manufacturing background, looking to enter into civil manufacturing.

What you’ll bring to the role:
- Prior plant operating experience is highly sought after, other relevant plant operating experience will be considered e.g. concrete plant
- Prior mechanical experience advantageous e.g heavy diesel mechanic/plant maintenance
- Prior manufacturing experience is sought after
- Ability to work a roster of days and nights (rotating monthly roster)
- Class 1 licence essential - WTR and Class 2 sought after but we can support you to gain these
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills required
- Strong track record of commitment to health and safety
