The Higgins Auckland team has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our Asphalt Paving Division.

Extensive knowledge and experience delivering Asphalt Paving Projects, along with airport project delivery experience, is essential. Our Paving Division has a strong pipeline of work and is on track to lay 20,000-30,000 tonnes of asphalt. We are looking for an experienced PM who can drive project delivery and lead a team of engineers and QA technicians.

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • 10+ years Project Management Experience with extensive Asphalt Paving knowledge
  • Proven experience delivering Paving Projects with Airport project delivery experience
  • In-depth knowledge of aggregates, with a technical understanding of these materials and their applications
  • You will be confident leading a team of Project Engineers and QA Technicians.
  • Sound financial management, budget management and reporting capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills, you will be comfortable communicating at all levels including with Higgins senior leaders, clients and external stakeholders
  • Civil Engineering Degree or similar
  • Understanding of the Construction Contracts Act and the knowledge to apply NZS3910 is desirable
  • Strong focus on health and safety not just your own but your colleagues and the public
