About the role
Due to continued growth in our financial services practice, our Auckland-based team is seeking expressions of interest from lawyers with 3+PQE to work within the team on a wide range of significant financial sector matters for prestigious local and international clients. Ideally you will have local experience, with some experience or exposure to financial services, investment funds, securities law or Kiwi Saver (but this is not necessary). We would also be interested in you if you have a general corporate, commercial litigation, finance or tax background.
This role is suitable for candidates who are enthusiastic about working in the financial services sector, and would enjoy developing long term client relationships and providing thoughtful and commercial consulting advice.
As the successful candidate, you would work directly with two of New Zealand's leading financial services partners - Tim Williams and Penny Sheerin. Tim and Penny advise clients on the full range of financial services laws and related business transactions, including advising on conduct laws, investment product development, regulatory change and investigations, and financial adviser and insurance laws.

- 3+ years PQE
- Commercially astute and client focused
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Large Law firm experience working on complex matters – desired
