We're looking for a financial accountant to join our Finance team on a 9-month fixed-term contract, providing both parental leave cover and some extra support as we close out a significant ERP transformation project.
What you will do:

• Maintain effective internal controls, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
  
• Manage intercompany billing, accounts and intercompany transactions.
• Support and facilitate high-quality financial reporting and analysis within Finance and for the wider business, maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with the development of new reporting and analytics tools.
• Lead or support key financial accounting processes, including managing assets, IFRS 16 lease schedules and revenue recognition calculations.
• Manage Weta’s expense claim system.
• Participate in the final design and testing of, and then embed, new financial processes within Wētā's new ERP system.

What you will bring:

• Strong technical IFRS knowledge, including fixed assets, leases and ideally revenue recognition
  
• Experience in process improvement and developing reports/systems/processes
• Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) qualification.
• Experience with cloud-based ERP systems, preferably Dynamics 365 F&O, and advanced proficiency in Business Intelligence tools like Power BI.
• Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting purposes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial matters clearly and effectively.
• A highly analytical mindset with a strong attention to detail.
