Assessment / QA Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Assessment & QA Technician to join our team in our National Service Centre in Albany, Auckland NZ.
Reporting to the Service Supervisor NZ, you will be responsible for accurately assessing customer equipment sent for repair and conducting final inspections to ensure all repaired equipment meets Olympus standards. You will collaborate with the Technical Specialist and Service Supervisor to address any quality issues and contribute to maintaining our high standards of service.
Key responsibilities:
  • Accurately assess customer repairs to ensure quality aligns with Olympus policies and procedures
  • Perform final inspections of repairs completed by repair technicians, ensuring alignment with Olympus quality standards and procedures.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of ISO procedures and apply them in your daily tasks.
  • Consult with Technical Specialists and Service Supervisors to provide feedback on any issues identified during assessment or inspection processes and propose solutions for resolution.
  • Notify management of any situations that deviate from maintaining a quality system and suggest corrective actions.
  • Read and acknowledge all Service Bulletins relevant to your role.
  • Maintain tools, test equipment, and your work area according to 5S standards and requirements.

As an Assessment & QA Technician, you have the authority to make decisions and take necessary actions to ensure customer satisfaction in accordance with your role and company policies.

What we are looking for:
You have high attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality. In addition, you possess:

  • Strong planning and organizational skills to manage tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • A collaborative team mindset and excellent communication skills to interact well with both internal and external customers.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to schedules.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills to ensure clear and effective communication.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and the capability to navigate various software tools.
To set you up for success your initial training will be completed in Melbourne, Australia. This will require flexibility with traveling for periods of up to 1 month at a time.
