Attendant Coordinator

We are seeking a self-driven coordinator to join our Attendants team here at Waikato Hospital.
As a successful Attendant Coordinator you will play a key role in coordinating the attendant service to ensure patients’ needs are met.
Day to day you will have oversight of the shift, ensuring that staff are allocated appropriately and that equipment is working well. The role has significant time on the computer. There is an expectation that the role would have intentional time on shift when they are out and about in the hospital, interacting with attendants and other staff.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Coordinate the attendant service effectively and efficiently to ensure delivery of a high quality, timely attendant service.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with the attendants staff and other colleagues
- To ensure attendants task management Benefit Realisation KPIs are achieved during each shift by monitoring workload and deploying staff to relevant pools as required.
- Support attendants to complete NZQA certification through verification or assisting in delivering training including induction and other on-the-job training as required.
- Support the attendants on the floor including performing attendant duties as required and intentionally plan for time away from the desk to create greater visibility to the services and team.

Mōu | About you
You will have
Essential:
- Full drivers licence
- Ability to multitask
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Completed or in the process of completing NZQA qualifications (Level 2 or 3)
- Previous experience in a coordinator role and/or previous experience in the health sector
- Previous experience with a patient information system and/or rostering programme.
- Have an existing understanding of the Health New Zealand/ Te Whatu Ora Waikato attendant work flows and the hospital layout.
