Our city is growing and transforming. Increasingly, Upper Hutt has become a lifestyle choice for people wanting a higher quality of life – living, working and recreation closer to home and family. Upper Hutt is rich in the natural environment and education opportunities, and businesses are choosing to invest in our city.

Unsurprisingly, the built form of our city is changing too. We are looking for enthusiastic people to join the Upper Hutt City Council Building Team and be part of our influencing our city transformation.

We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity and are seeking a Building Control Officer – Inspections to join the Building Control Services Team.

Are you interested in contributing to something meaningful and having your work recognised? Do you want to join a talented team that works hard and has fun? Are you excited about going to work each day and seeing what it brings?

Then you may just be one of the team members we are looking for.

With strong commercial investment in the city, a rising housing market and continued growth, Upper Hutt City Building Team is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated individual to join our expanding Building Control Services team. We are committed to customer service and need someone who can assist our customers in facilitating development in Upper Hutt while ensuring that building projects comply with legislative requirements and standards.
