- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
- Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel receipts.
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route, designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
- Collect and verify delivery instructions and any paperwork.
- Report defects, accidents or traffic violations.
- Servicing, lubricating, cleaning and refueling the plant and performing minor adjustments and repairs.
- Follow all SOP policies that you signed off at your induction.
- Check ROC, COF and registration weekly.
- Set up traffic management around your site at all times. Safety barriers and safety cones will be carried on your truck at all times.
- What you will need to succeed :
- Physically active as you will be responsible for loading/unloading at client’s sites.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
- Must be willing to communicate and cooperate.
- Safety operates a delivery vehicle in compliance with company and NZTA guidelines.
- NZ Class 5 driving license or equivalent overseas license.
- Must be reliable with good communication skills.
- Bring a positive attitude daily to the worksite.
