Class 5 Truck Driver

Duties include :

Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.

Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel receipts.

Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route, designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.

Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.

Collect and verify delivery instructions and any paperwork.

Report defects, accidents or traffic violations.

Servicing, lubricating, cleaning and refueling the plant and performing minor adjustments and repairs.

Follow all SOP policies that you signed off at your induction.

Check ROC, COF and registration weekly.

Set up traffic management around your site at all times. Safety barriers and safety cones will be carried on your truck at all times.

What you will need to succeed :

Physically active as you will be responsible for loading/unloading at client’s sites.

Attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.

Must be willing to communicate and cooperate.

Safety operates a delivery vehicle in compliance with company and NZTA guidelines.

To be successful in this role, you must hold :

NZ Class 5 driving license or equivalent overseas license.

Must be reliable with good communication skills.

Bring a positive attitude daily to the worksite.
