Clinical Nurse Specialist - Bowel Screening

Achieving the best health outcomes for our patients starts with expecting the best from ourselves. Health NZ | Te Whatu Ora - Te Tai Tokerau is looking for a motivated Senior Nurse specialising in bowel screening to join our Surgical and Support Service.
About the role
- Provide appropriate specialist nursing services to participants who have received a positive bowel screening result within the Northland DHB bowel screening programme in accordance with the National Bowel Screening Programme Interim Quality Standards.
- Provide timely and appropriate information, education, and support for participants who have received a positive result within the bowel screening programme.
- Provide clinical leadership for the nurses providing services within the bowel screening endoscopy services including pre-assessments
This is a permanent, full time position (1.0 FTE) working 40 hours per week based in Whangarei, however some travel around the region may be required.

Key Requirements
- NZ Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificate
- Post Graduate Diploma in specialty nursing practice essential, preferably in Endoscopy nursing. Must include advanced assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills
- At least five years post registration contemporary nursing practice
- Achieved RN Level 4 or equivalent in specialty with current portfolio or have senior portfolio for their specialty area
- Specialty knowledge and practice expertise
