About the opportunity
Airbus Australia Pacific is looking for a creative and team-oriented Engineering Undergraduate to join our team in Blenheim, NZ.
This program will give you the opportunity to undertake a 3-month internship (November 2024 to February 2025) in a team relevant to your discipline with direct guidance from a Senior Engineer.
Reporting to Team Lead Structures In-Service NZ this role is responsible for working within an engineering team to investigate, and assist with development and delivery of design solutions, using a systems engineering design philosophy, in accordance with the level and scope of Engineering Authority delegated to you. The engineering activities are performed in the relevant domain.
About the role
To be a successful Engineering Intern you will need to be able to work in a team environment, have well developed relationship skills as well as good verbal and written skills. The company also supports 22 ARH Tiger armed reconnaissance helicopters for the Army.

- Working alongside and supporting Senior Engineers and specialists
- Exposure to challenging yet rewarding projects
- Providing assistance in the development of engineering investigations
- Product specification research
To be eligible for this internship opportunity, we look for the following:
- In final 2 years of Bachelor of Engineering, e.g. would be in their penultimate or final year of study during work experience period
- An interest in Aviation / Aerospace
- Willingness and ability to develop Foundation Level core competencies in-line with our technical career development pathways
- Able to independently perform simple analysis with assistance as required
- Ability and willingness to engage in investigation of technical issues, development and review of technical documents
- Capacity for self-directed task management
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with employees from other domains
