Events and Marketing Manager

Position: Events & Marketing Manager
Department: Events, Sales/ Marketing
Reports To: General Manager, Owner, Operations Manager, Account Manager
Inter-relationships: FOH Team, Winery Team, Restaurant Manager, Cellar Door Manager
External Relationships: Customers, VIP Club, Suppliers, Tour companies
Job purpose
To represent the Stonyridge Brand and experience to our guests/visitors/clients with bookings, inquiries and events to the highest possible standard in accordance with procedure and the highest level of customer service is maintained at all times.
Duties and responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Events/ Bookings
  • Manage day to day bookings
  • Co-ordinate functions & events from enquiry to confirmation
  • Email inquiries are answered within a 24-hour framework
  • Ensure all bookings and events are completed smoothly
  • Coordinate and communicate with other departments to ensure knowledge transfer
  • Write and distribute runsheets for events at least 7 days prior to events
  • Assist with organizing promotional events to reach prospective customers and current Larose members
  • Tour group management
  • Communication to senior management regarding smooth event co-ordination
Marketing
  • Website management & updates
  • Coordinate social media, website & promotions.
  • Update social media calendar one months in advance
  • Attend weekly Sales & Marketing meetings
  • Communicate Marketing campaigns to the wider team
  • Manage set up and assist with restaurant booking systems
  • Champion Hubspot and Shopify systems
  • Day to Day managing of e-commerce site
  • First point of contact for Larose VIP members, coordinating their requests
  • Serve as the focal point of contact for Larose members alongside the brand ambassador
Logistics
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the annual Larose dispatch
  • Oversee financial transactions related to logistics (freight charges etc.)
  • Voucher Management (online shop product)
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Coordinate shipments of online sales and “quirks”
Maintenance & Housekeeping:
  • To ensure the strict standards of cleanliness are maintained within the bar, restaurant, and kitchen areas
  • To ensure product/items and equipment is handled in a timely, safe, and efficient manner
  • To ensure the hospitality as well as grounds accessed by customers is well presented, clean, safe and that all maintenance is up to date
  • To promptly report any malfunction in equipment
Compliance:
  • To ensure you and the team are familiar with Health and Safety procedures
  • To maintain and manage Incident registers and Health & Safety recordings
  • To promptly report all maintenance issues
  • To maintain the correct usage of all equipment
  • To hold regular debriefs/ meetings with Operations Manager & Senior Managers
  • To perform any reasonable task as requested by General Manager & Operations Manager
Team:
  • Ensure that there is a capable and professional deputy that can act for extended periods in your absence
  • To foster a work culture that is enjoyable for the entire team and in line with the values of Stonyridge
  • To ensure that Hospitality staff meet grooming standards
  • To maintain staff uniforms and to ensure that standards are being met according to the staff manual
Flexibility
  • Flexibility to take over tasks outside of this job description including but not limited to helping in the vineyard and Restaurant.
  • To attend to and accommodate guests needs in a prompt, efficient and professional manner
Qualifications
  • A level of skill commensurate with a bachelor degree or higher qualification. At least five years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 1)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 – $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
