Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
We are seeking a creative and motivated Events Coordinator to join the UC Communications and Events team and play a vital role in delivering impactful events that contribute to our strategic goals and enhance our reputation. You will be responsible for designing, planning, coordinating and executing events and engagement activities for the purpose of student recruitment, student retention and stakeholder engagement. You will manage and facilitate the end-to-end delivery of events, including conferences and sponsorship events. You will liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners and vendors, manage expectations and ensure everyone is committed to the event objectives, attendee experience and delivery outcomes.
Mōu | Who You Are
You are an experienced Event Coordinator who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Event Management and have 1-3 years of experience in event planning, project management, and stakeholder engagement. Your creativity, problem-solving skills, and commitment to upholding cultural practices and traditions set you apart. You have a working knowledge of marketing principles, excellent communication skills, and a strong customer service focus. Proficiency in project management software is a plus, and competency in te reo Māori me ōna tikanga is highly valued. You will actively embrace and promote the University's values, contributing to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture.
