This position is fulltime and permanent, the successful candidate will be based from our Vulcan site in Christchurch.
We are looking for an experienced saw operator/store person to join our night shift team. - The role is night shift Monday to Thursday - 2pm - 11.30pm - Friday 2pm - 6.30 pm with opportunities for overtime.
We require you to be reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential as this role requires close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures are carried out smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits.
Requirements
- Forklift licence
- Experience operating a programmable saw
- Good level of physical fitness – this is a physical job
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work overtime if required
- Team player
- Good sense of humour
- Minimum full class 1 drivers licence
- Intermediate level of skill with technology
- Reliable
- Excellent understanding and adherence to health & safety procedures
- Gantry crane experience would be an advantage
