Role Requirements
We are seeking a Freelance Rigger to assist in the setup and installation of a camera rigging system around a tennis court. The ideal candidate will have experience in rigging for sports events or similar environments and be proficient in safely and efficiently installing camera support systems.
What you will do as a Freelance Rigger at Bolt6
Prior to the Event:
- Cable Installation: Run fibre and CAT6 cables around tennis courts, ensuring they are securely installed, neatly routed, and do not pose any safety hazards.
- Camera Mounting: Mount cameras in designated positions around the court, ensuring they are stable and securely fastened for optimal coverage.
- Power Setup: Run and connect power cables safely, ensuring proper connections without hazards.
- Equipment Setup: Set up small ancillary equipment around the court, ensuring everything is safely positioned and securely connected.
- Troubleshooting & Adjustments: Adjust camera positions or troubleshoot any issues with the setup during installation.
Post Event:
- Dismantling & Maintenance: Safely dismantle all cameras, cables, and equipment after the event. Carry out any necessary maintenance or repairs on equipment.
- Equipment Handling: Neatly pack away all cameras, cables, and kit into designated cases for transport and storage.
At All Times:
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety standards and guidelines at all times. Ensure that all equipment is handled safely, cables are neatly arranged, and no hazards are created.
- Following Instructions: Always follow instructions from supervisors, technical teams, and event coordinators to ensure tasks are completed correctly and efficiently.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the technical team, camera operators, and event coordinators to ensure smooth and efficient setup, adjustments, and dismantling.
What we are looking for
Required attributes:
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team;
- Ability to lift equipment and work in physically demanding conditions;
- Comfortable with working at heights, on ladders and on catwalks;
- Ability to work quickly and solve practical problems;
- Flexibility in schedule to accommodate event timing and setup requirements.
Desirable skills:
- Experience in rigging at sports events or concerts;
- Knowledge of camera rigging systems and various types of rigging hardware and techniques;
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to rigging and working at heights.
