Senior Marquee Rigger

Are you an experienced marquee rigger with solid experience of working with Marquees? We’re looking for a Senior Marquee Rigger to join our team and work across various stunning locations in Central Otago.
About the Role:
As a Senior Marquee Rigger, you will lead and supervise the installation, maintenance, and dismantling of marquees and temporary structures for a range of events. Your role will involve ensuring all structures are safely erected, with a high level of attention to detail, and in compliance with New Zealand health and safety standards.
You will be responsible for supporting a team of riggers, providing training and guidance where needed, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in their craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the installation and dismantling of marquees, ensuring they are safe and secure.
Supervise and train junior crew members.
Ensure all work complies with New Zealand Health and Safety regulations.
Conduct safety inspections and identify any potential risks on site.
Liaise with clients to ensure their requirements are met.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience in marquee rigging.
Strong respect for Health and Safety.
Strong communication skills.
The ability to work under pressure and solve problems on site.
A high level of physical fitness, as the role involves heavy lifting and working in various weather conditions.

Desirable Qualifications:

Apex Marquee riggers level 1 & level 2 certification or similar safety qualifications.
First Aid certification.
Class 2 driver’s licence or higher (preferred).
Forklift operation certification (advantageous)
3 - 4 + years experience in Marquee rigging

Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
Schedule:

Shift work
Weekend availability
