The Role:
- Plan, control and lead the day-to-day running of the department
- Ensure the availability and selection of high-quality deli foods to satisfy customer demands
- Learning and development of team - attracting, developing and retaining great people
- Legislative compliance - providing a healthy safe work environment and safe food for sale to our customers and community
- Achieve financial performance of the department
- Manage team members to ensure service and productivity levels are maintained

What are we looking for:
- Previous experience with food and people management required.
- Someone with charisma, determination and exceptional eye for detail
- A person with the drive and ambition to further develop our in store offering of, continental meats, specialty cheese, ready to eat meals, fresh salads, and gourmet foods.
- An ability to listen, advise and come up with commercial, customer driven solutions
- The ability to self-motivate and manage alongside the ability to balance priorities
- You will have a flair for food presentation, great with people management, well organised with good computer skills, and have a high level of customer service.
- Experience in working in a supermarket deli, or similar department is necessary.
- Experience with SAP is preferable.

New World Victoria Park is a flagship store serving up to 30,000 customers a week in a strong market here in the local community. Each of our stores is individually owned and operated, and we can support you on your own journey to ownership – particularly with the experienced and supportive owner in place at Victoria Park.
