Graduate policy analyst
Vector is looking for enthusiastic deep thinkers who enjoy investigating complex energy challenges. We have an opening for a graduate policy analyst to work on varied opportunities across our Policy, Insights, Regulatory and Sustainability business unit.
In a typical day, you’ll research and develop strategies regarding different policies and regulations. You’ll work with different functions providing thought-leadership and developing Vector’s views about topical issues, and will report directly into the General Manager of Public Policy and the General Manager of Sustainability.

- You’re a strategic thinker who can synthesise local and international research to formulate an informed opinion
- You have a keen interest in how local and international policy can shape energy sector decarbonisation, and can communicate ideas clearly and concisely
- You’ll have a specific interest in the importance of the energy sector in driving climate change outcomes for New Zealand
- Your field of study could be diverse – examples include law, policy, economics or science
- You enjoy collaborating with a wide range of people both within Vector and externally.
As this is a graduate position, we will only be accepting applications from people who will graduate this year or have graduated within the last 12 months.
