Group Manager Coding - Planning, Funding and Outcomes

Te whiwhinga mahi | The OpportunityAs the Group Manager Coding you will be responsible for leading the national initiatives that will advance, streamline enhance clinical coding and related services.
You will be responsible for leading the design and adoption of new ways of working, building the the capability to support the adoption of digital records and clinical coding solutions and overseeing and action plan for deliverables. In this role you will be comfortable driving innovation alongside maintaining key stakeholder relationships.
This is a full time permanent role. You can be based from any Health New Zealand office and there will be the requirement to travel from time to time.
Mōu | About you
You will have a strategic mindset while also being experienced in clinical coding. You will understand the end to end process as well as the training required to bring new coders up to speed. You will enjoy adopting to new technology, be a strong leader and have a background of working with different unions.
Ka kawea e koe | You will bring:
  • Minimum of 3 years experience of Clinical Coding
  • Background in strategic leadership, ideally within a large complex organisation
  • A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions. This includes an understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the ability to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in this role.
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
