Innovation Manager

Your Impact
We have a rare and exciting 7-month Innovation Manager contract role available to cover a secondment. The position is responsible for the delivery and project management of new products that will drive growth and deliver our innovation objectives.

The innovation manager will manage multiple projects using the new product development process, working cross functionally to meet project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Lead NPD projects through their lifecycle from concept to delivery and deletion. Includes both major and minor NPD, as well as sustainability, value optimization/simplification and deletion projects
Manage, oversee, and leverage the cross functional team, resources, financials, and strategy required to deliver all innovation projects
Manage the project budget effectively to cover production trial expenses, sensory testing etc.
Work with external suppliers as required during project development briefing stages, concept development progress and project costing
Arrange NPD project kick off & team meetings, track progress vs timelines ensuring a results-oriented approach to achieve project milestones

About You
Looking for an individual that can work across multiple functions, hold themselves to a high degree of accountability, urgency and follow through.

Experience in project management or brand management within the FMCG industry
Ability to think holistically and put together compelling business cases
Effective communication and relationship building skills to motivate/influence others
Strong problem solving skills
A keen focus on learning and continuous improvement of processes and ways of working
