Mō te tūranga | About the Role

The Portfolio Head - Payments Innovation is a key leadership role in which you will successfully influence across Westpac and New Zealand payments industry, as well as contribute to the Business Products and Payments Leadership Team.

In this influential role you will have responsibility for Payments innovation and industry engagement within our Product, Sustainability and Marketing business unit. You will connect with industry and other external partners to identify and influence activity that supports Westpac's payments proposition and vision, with a focus on improving customer experiences and commercial outcomes.

The role requires a strong leader with deep knowledge of the payments industry, someone who can influence at all levels, drive customer value, and champion industry-wide innovation. If you're ready to make a significant impact and help shape the future of payments, we want to hear from you.

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?

Expert knowledge of the payments industry
Strong stakeholder management - influence at all levels within the payments industry
High levels of commercial acumen, including experience commercialising industry investment
Experience leading across a value chain, including driving a high-performance culture for your direct team (within financial services).
Demonstrated experience improving NPS, commercial, risk and people outcomes, including through data driven insights.
Influencing and relationship building to an Executive level
Product management experience within financial services (10+ years)
Strategy, risk, or product governance experience
