Kaitātari | Analyst - Reporting & Systems

Reporting to the Manager Reporting & Systems this role focuses on managing and enhancing fund management systems and processes. It involves fund administration, assurance, procurement, risk management, and the development and implementation of business intelligence strategies using suitable BI tools and technologies.
The team this role sits in would be the “engine room” in support of investment functions, with a focus on optimising systems, processes, practise, and performance. The systems and processes currently supported by the team are responsible for nearly $500m in public investment, across hundreds of active projects where the government has and/or will be a co-investor.
With the new system successfully in place, you will join a team of dedicated Analysts focussed on leading technical data extraction, business and data analysis, and the development of fit-for-purpose reporting and dashboards that meet the needs of Mf E teams, our cross-agency partners and our Ministers.
This opportunity calls for a technically savvy systems-thinker with a keen interest in and motivation to drive continuous improvement. As the team shift focus to sharpening and advancing our governance and evaluation processes and building a high-trust model with our customers, a core part of this role also involves supporting ongoing system change processes and data migration activities, working in close collaboration with Mf E funding and technical teams across the organisation.

- A demonstrable background in data and technology with experience of delivering data analysis, data manipulation, information management and reporting;
- Experience and expertise in dashboard development and performance commentaries for a variety of audiences and stakeholders;
- Experience of gathering and understanding business requirements and providing fit-for-purpose specifications to coding practicioners;
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail, with the ability to effectively research and respond to Minister requests for information;
- Proven relationship development skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve common goals;
- The ability to maintain agility, flexibility and a customer focus in times of pressure; and
- Commitment to developing your cultural capability and capacity in te ao Māori.
Salary range for this role is $79,598 to $96,372pa. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
