We have opportunities for reliable and energetic individuals with friendly, can-do attitudes to join our kitchen team based at Thorrington Rest Home in Beckenham, Christchurch. Come and help us deliver the best food service in the industry to the 54 residents who call Thorrington home.

The ideal candidates will:

• support our chefs by keeping the kitchen clean, doing dishes, and basic food prep.
• be able to work safely in an industrial kitchen with large hot pots and trays.
• be exceptional team players with flexible, committed, can-do attitudes.
• be resilient and able to work under pressure in a busy and dynamic environment.

This position is part time as rostered Monday, Tuesday and Thursday across morning shift (7am – 2pm) and/or afternoon shift (3.30pm – 7.30pm). We currently have vacancies on the morning shift (Tuesday) and the afternoon shift (Monday and Thursday). Additional hours may be available to cover leave when required.

Previous kitchen experience is not required as training will be provided to someone who possesses the right attitude and motivation.
