Kitchen Assistant - Whakatane Hospital

He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
Working with an experienced and diverse team we are looking for an individual who must be able to work over a fortnightly roster including weekends in our Kitchen Department. This role is fixed term part-time to 7 March 2025 working 50 hours per fortnight.
This role involves many tasks and opportunity to grow your skills on the job.
Some of the tasks involved are;

Delivery newspapers and water jugs to patients
Handing out menu's to patients
Collecting trays on food trollies
Serving cups of tea and coffee to patients
Unloading and dishwashing duties
Tray line duties serving desserts

In this role we work as a team, everyone has the responsibility to maintain the Kitchen to a clean standard. Our idea candidate must be able to work unsupervised, show initiative, follows instructions easily, good work ethic and can work in a fast-paced environment.
This role is covered by the Etú Service Food Workers Union Multi-Employer Collective Agreement. Hourly rate for this position is $23.75 to $28.18.
