About the Role
Quality Bakers Auckland is New Zealand's largest plant bakery manufacturing some of New Zealand's most loved brands such as Vogel's, Freya's, Molenberg, and Natures Fresh. It has 5 plants, running 24/7 to produce 74 different products daily.
As the Maintenance Manager for our Quality Bakers Auckland manufacturing site you will have responsibility and accountability for driving the performance of the maintenance team to deliver the strategic engineering, maintenance plan and site objectives.
To make this happen, your responsibilities will include:

• Coach and develop our team to achieve highest maintenance effectiveness, optimum plant reliability, lower manufacturing cost and product quality.
• Take responsibility for daily supervision of maintenance activities, resources, work orders for the team of 19 Engineers including 4 Shift Leads.
• Lead RCA's for significant downtime or waste events and support Shift Leaders in investigations for less significant downtime or waste events.
• Develop a team culture of accountability and teamwork where people enjoy coming to work and success is celebrated.
• Develop and maintain the scope and content of the preventative maintenance across the site.
• Support continuous improvement in plant reliability, availability and maintenance systems in general.

About You
To make this role a success you will be an experienced engineering leader with a background in maintenance, electrical and automation engineering within the FMCG manufacturing industry.
Skillsets, qualifications and experience we are looking for include:

• Relevant Engineering Tertiary qualification or industry experience
• Experience working in the food manufacturing sector is well regarded
• Demonstrated people leadership experience is essential
• High degree of general trade technical knowledge
• MEX CMMS / SAP or other maintenance system experience is desirable
