The opportunity
The Water Services Ministerial Team in the Water Services Reform Programme is seeking a Ministerial Coordinator to join the team. In this role, you will manage a shared in-box, support the Manager to allocate work, keep a track of deadlines, complete weekly reporting tasks, maintain the filing system and be the glue that keeps the team performing at exceptional levels. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, where very few days are the same.
About the role
Reporting to the Manager, Water Services Ministerial Services, you will be a trusted advisor to your peers and our senior leaders. You will support the production of excellent products to meet the Minister of Local Government's communications preferences. You will support the team to meet statutory deadlines and produce a range of products such as Official Information Act 1982 responses, responses to Parliamentary questions, Ministerial and Departmental correspondence. You will have the opportunity to fine tune our workflow systems, processes.
This role would suit someone who likes working in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision, who can get things done, and keep order in a sometimes chaotic work environment. It is a role full of variety, working alongside a dedicated and talented team of people.
Please note that this is a fixed term role until June 2026.
About you
We are looking for someone who is able to step in, step up and meet challenging deadlines.
You will already be an excellent administrator, with great communications skills, a meticulous proof-reader, developing your technical expertise and a fantastic relationship builder who is willing to navigate ambiguity. We're looking for someone who wants to develop their machinery of government skills and loves a challenge. You'll thrive working in a fast-paced, team environment, with supportive colleagues.
