Job Description:
As a Cyclic Maintenance Operator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance operations ensuring safety, quality, and efficient completion of various tasks. These tasks include:

• Pothole repairs
• Edge break repairs
• Wire rope barrier and guardrail repairs
• Sweeping
• Marker peg placement
• Roadside rubbish collection
• Road sign maintenance
• Culvert cleaning
• Emergency response

Key Responsibilities:

• Initiate and participate in tailgate meetings, safety projects, quality projects, and audit teams.
• Order materials as required.
• Document dayworks, unscheduled works, emergency works, timesheets, and all other necessary documentation.
• Liaise with clients effectively.
• Ensure vehicles under your control are well-maintained both visually and mechanically.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

• Effective communication skills for interacting on a non-technical level.
• Problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities onsite.
• Ability to achieve or exceed targeted productivities and quality standards.
• Traffic management qualification preferred (training provided if necessary).
• Proficiency with smart phone and tablet applications.
• Valid Class 2 Drivers licence, WTR (wheels, tracks, rollers) certification is advantageous.
• Knowledge in equipment selection, operation, and basic troubleshooting.
• Experience with assembling safety fences and environmental controls.
• Efficient use of plant and materials.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to read written instructions, maps, and plans.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in road construction and maintenance.
• Understanding of machine and tool design, use, repair, and maintenance.
• Competence in arithmetic and other mathematical operations.
