Obstetrics & Gynaecology Registrar (non-training)

Commencing January 2025 – 6 Months, Fixed Term

We are seeking a non-training registrar to join our team, this is on a fixed term basis.

About the Role

As a non-training registrar in our O&G department, you will enjoy:

High-level support and training from experienced O&G Consultants and senior medical staff.
Opportunities to teach and mentor junior doctors (SHOs) and medical students, contributing to their professional development.
Hands-on experience in both directly and indirectly supervised clinics, as well as participation in at least two theatre sessions per week.
Exposure to a wide range of major and advanced Gynaecological procedures, including abdominal, vaginal, and minimal access surgery.
General ward work to further broaden your clinical skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake clinics and theatre sessions under appropriate supervision to enhance your skills and proficiency.
Participate in general ward work to provide comprehensive patient care.
Collaborate with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Fulfill after-hours on-call duties aligned with the consultant’s roster, with appropriate support provided. On call is one in five nights and weekends.
