We have an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to join the nursing team at The Doctors Onehunga. We are looking for someone who can bring clinical excellence and a passion for improving the health of the community. Intermediate experienced nurse who would seamlessly move from urgent to practice nurse efficiently. If you like a challenge of being able to nurse in these two areas of nursing then this is a position that would suit you
This is a primarily general practice based position. You will be working with skilled clinical and administration colleagues and be supported by a dedicated medical centre leadership team
This is a permanent full time position, working 40 hours per week between Monday - Sunday.
Do you have what we are looking for?
- A current New Zealand practicing certificate is essential
- Your practice aligns with the principles of The Treaty of Waitangi.
- Prior experience in a medical centre is desirable
- Competent in areas of nursing in either or both primary and secondary care
- Willing to continually learn and improve
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong rapport with team members.
- Confident, friendly and approachable.
- You will ideally hold current CPR certificate
- Immunisation and smear taker certificates is desirable but not essential
- Computer literate
