Mō te tūranga - About the role

As a Retail Adviser Lending Specialist in Credit Assessment business unit, you’ll provide an exceptional relationship-based service experience for customers whose finance applications originate from Mortgage Advisers in accordance with ANZ credit guidelines. Role Location: ANZ Raranga, Sylvia Park, Auckland
Role Type: Permanent, Full-time (4x available positions)
Work Days: Monday-Friday

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like
Utilise relationship and assessment skills to ensure both individual and Adviser Unit targets are achieved
Identify and manage customer needs and expectations by providing customer service and communication excellence
Use lending knowledge to explain policy or processes so that customer education and relationships are continuously enhanced
Be proactive in providing support and feedback where appropriate
Implement an effective call programme and maintain relationships with key Advisers
Understand and interpret the Bank’s changing risk appetite
Keep technical expertise, product fluency, and policy knowledge up to date
Apply credit policy and principles, product guidelines and the bank’s risk appetite
Meet or exceed targets through collaboration and awareness of own and others workflow
Identify, develop and recommend or implement improvement opportunities relating to process
Accurately record research, justification and decision for each lending proposal assessed
Ensure accreditation relevant to you is maintained and applied (eg Judgemental or Frontline CAD)
Be alert and act promptly to warning signs of credit deterioration, equally recognise your customers’ strong or improved performance to develop stronger relationships with them
Identify trends, risks and issues
Ensure all services delivered comply with ANZ Group governance requirements, policies, processes and standards and with legal and regulatory requirements
Ensure follow bank procedures such as assessing applications in wrong segment, disregard for responsibilities under CAD authority

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Strong lending experience and knowledge of credit policy.
Ability to analyse complex information in a logical & systematic manner & exercise good judgement in making decisions under pressure.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independantly
Able to build strong, open & collaborative working relationships
