Formulate and recommend plans, policies, goals, and objectives for the Adtran's sales activities to expand market share in existing markets and capture new markets.

Act as a liaison and communicate with Operations, Administrative, and Customer Service on all corporate/ subsidiary plans and programs.

Proactively communicate NZ technical solution requirements to product units and product management stakeholders.

Manage complex sales situations across the target customer organization and manage technical sales of ADTRAN products across the diverse customer organization.

Develop and execute both short and long-range sales plans and programs in conjunction with Senior Management, to ensure the profitability and growth of the company's products.

Maintain a satisfactory profit/loss ratio as identified by corporate pre-set operational standards for the Sales Department.

Execute Marketing initiatives in territory for Adtran products, as well as segment and vertical marketing initiatives.

Grow and maintain a sales channel made up primarily of Value-Added Resellers, systems integrators and strategic partners from which most sales orders are fulfilled.

Manage top deals and very important clients within territories.

Support Adtran-based Services and promote customer success.

Maintain a current working knowledge of Adtran products, various forms of current technology, future industry trends, competitive solutions, products, and services.

Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the Company.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing (or Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Science) required.

10-15 years of technical sales experience, preferably in the telecommunications space

Experience in New Zealand telecommunications market, understanding of regulatory and competitive broadband space

Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft Office: Power Point, Excel, and Word required.

Proven ability to develop and implement complex programs and achieve required results.

Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
-
Excellent consulting skillset, including discovery, analysis, modeling, communication and project leadership skills.

There is some travel expected in this position to support Adtran's sales objectives.

Master’s degree preferred

Existing relationships within New Zealand telecommunications’ market
