Senior IT Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior IT Support Engineer who can give a hand to our engineering lead with all L3 escalation, deliver projects and help researching, testing and implementing new solutions for internal use and for clients.
Role Overview:
As a Senior IT Support Engineer, you will:-
- Resolve any escalated issues
- Assist in building and implementing new solutions, creating processes, and training the existing team
- Motivate the team- Participate in and lead complex IT projects from start to finish
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues across hardware, software, network configurations, and cloud services, with a focus on Azure and Microsoft 365 Endpoint manager and security solutions
- Develop and maintain detailed system documentation to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability
- Have hands-on experience creating Power Shell scripts for RMM tool and Endpoint manager
- Have advanced knowledge of various cybersecurity solutions
The ideal candidate will have:-
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience as a Systems Engineer, preferably within a managed service provider environment
- Extensive knowledge of configuring and maintaining systems, including Microsoft 365, Windows, Mac OS, servers, and Azure cloud services, including Networking, Firewalls, and Endpoint Protection
- Demonstrated capability in managing IT projects involving system upgrades and cloud migrations Additional responsibilities:- Deliver remote support, with a focus on cloud-based solutions
- Drive continuous improvements in IT systems and processes- Mentor junior engineers and provide training on the effective use of cloud technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of cybersecurity and business continuity planning
- Experience with automation tools such as Power Shell and Microsoft Power Automate
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, and relevant certifications like Microsoft Certified Professional or Comp TIA are preferred
- Excellent self-management skills and a full New Zealand driver's license
- Qualifications:- Bachelor's or equivalent in Information Technology or equivalent experience- Applicants with relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Comp TIA A+, N+, MCSA, MCSE, etc.) will be viewed favourably
Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
