Senior Policy Advisor - Clinical Leadership

We are in search of a Senior Policy Advisor to take up a full-time permanent opportunity within our Clinical Leadership team. Reporting directly to the National Clinical Governance Manager within the National Clinical Leadership Directorate. The Senior Advisor will support the development of Health New Zealand's national clinical policies. In addition, they will support clinical governance committees, clinical networks and Clinical Chiefs in the development of national policies.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to build collaborative and positive working relationships with staff across the wider organisation as well as all key stakeholders, internally and externally.

- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in developing and implementing clinical policies
- Demonstrated understanding of communication and training needs related to launching a new policy
- Strong conceptual thinker and problem solver, demonstrating innovation and excellent judgement.
- Ability to work both independently and with other teams across the organisation
- Clear, concise, verbal and written communication skills with particular strength in writing, including, but not limited to, leadership papers, memos, project documentation and reports
- A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions. This includes an understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the ability to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in this role
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
