The Tour Guide will be responsible for escorting visitors on sightseeing, educational, and other tours, ensuring a memorable and safe experience. The key responsibilities will include:
- Meeting and greeting visitors, managing group access, and ensuring visitor safety.
- Planning, organizing, and conducting tours following detailed itineraries.
- Arranging transportation, accommodation, and entry to places of interest for visitors.
- Providing informative commentary on points of interest, answering questions, and distributing tour materials.
- Coordinating with local partners to confirm bookings and ensuring smooth communication with overseas trade partners and customers.
- Creating customized travel experiences to suit client preferences and budgets.
- Maintaining attendance records and issuing invoices for trade partners and customers.
- Driving visitors to designated locations as part of planned itineraries.
- Performing other related duties as required.
Pay rate: minimum $31.61 / hour - maximum $32.00 / hour
Guaranteed hours of work per week: minimum 30 hours
Requirements for the job:
- NZQF Level 4 qualification, or at least three years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and large groups.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Must be a New Zealand citizen or resident.
