Job Description
At Ballantynes we have a Warehousing team made up of the central Warehouse, Stock and Despatch with 2 opportunities available. These positions give the opportunity to work both in our new warehousing facility, and behind the scenes in our showcase store.


Warehousing Stockperson
About the role
We are looking for a Warehousing Stockperson to join the wider Warehousing team. The primary focus of this role is to manage the flow of stock coming in, to distribute it to the reserve areas and to deliver stock to the shop floor in a timely manner, ensuring appropriate levels are maintained.
This role will be processing stock for a variety of departments. You will also work with the Visual Merchandising team to ensure the stock is ready for merchandising and prepare for upcoming events and promotions. You will also be working across the wider department of Warehousing that includes Despatch and the central Warehouse. Teamwork is critical for the success of these roles so you must be a team player, willing to assist other colleagues when required.
This role may contain some Forklift use when required. Full training will be given.
Warehousing Despatch Processor
About the role
Ballantynes are also seeking a Warehousing Despatch Processor to join the wider Warehousing team. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that incoming goods are received and reach the shop floor in a timely manner, as well as processing stock to be transferred between branches or for delivery to our customers.
Despatch is a critical support department for the store's operation. Your job satisfaction will come from assisting the wider team to provide exceptional service to our customers. You will also be working across the wider department of Warehousing that includes Stock and the central Warehouse.
This role will contain some Forklift use when required. Full training will be given.


Successful candidate
You will be a fast learner, with strong time management skills. You will be a fit and active person able to lift weight (20KG average). A background in stores, inventory, logistics or despatch would be ideal but not mandatory.
You will be happy working alone and have the initiative to work independently as well as being a team player and helping others when required.


The successful applicant will be:

• Fit and energetic as lifting boxes and moving fixtures is required
• Forklift experience is an advantage
• Full drivers' licence is required
• Highly organised and tidy
• Experience working with high volumes of stock
• Computer Literate
• Methodical and have the ability to meet deadlines
• Possess good communication skills - both written and verbal

Additional Information
The Despatch and Stock functions operate from our Store on Cashel Street and the central Warehouse is located nearby on Ferry Road.
There are two roles available, both Full time working 40 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday 8am-4.30pm however some flexibility may be required at peak times.
