Vacancy: Credit Risk Officer

Job Summary
Responsible for the assessment and identification of potential risks that may hinder the reputation, safety and financial prosperity of their organization.
Job Responsibilities
· Identifying risk in portfolios, provide intelligence, report anomalies and make recommendation
· Responsible for gathering and analyzing financial data about clients following request
· Responsible for monitoring and classifying portfolio
· Analyze credit data to determine the degree of risk involved extending credit or lending money on every transaction.
· Responsible for conducting research to monitor market trends and assess severity of risk and make adequate forecasts for product and policy development.
· Prepare a detailed written credit summary of commercial applicants requesting credit by analyzing the business, interpreting the finance need, identifying the strengths and prevailing risk factors and rendering a final credit decision
· Support business unit goals by continuous identification of process improvements and efficiencies that reduce costs and improves customer service level
· Engage the management team on prioritizing and implementing approved actions
· Evaluate risk business decisions and making recommendations
· Analyzing risk information and producing standard risk reporting for management meetings
· Communicate with management teams to confirm execution of company processes
· Implement improved and approved credit measures and policies
· Continuous self-development through upgrading of skills, punctuality, personal effectiveness on assigned tasks.
· Ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Performance Key Result Area (KPIs-Outcomes) and Corresponding Metrics/Measures
Transaction Execution
-Consistently delivers output on time, 12-hour turnaround time and regular updates on transaction progress
Risk/Loan analytics
-Strategically identify and develop risk management policies that are efficient (minimum of 99.9%)
Financial analysis
-Collate and submit analyzed financial data about clients following request to the head of risk management within 12-hour turnaround time
Underwriting
-Attain 100% error free when analyzing credit data that determines the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money
Research on market trends
-Prompt turn in of your collated bi-weekly report on your research on market trends, risks assessment and adequate forecast for product & policy development
Probability of default (PD) & Exposure at Default (EAD)
-Ensure minimum of 99.9% prompt. Probability and exposure at default is declined or subject to further scrutiny
Regulatory compliance
-100% adherence to the operational process of confirming and clearing cheques
Risk Factors and implications
-Prompt communication to the authority for further scrutiny and approval
Adherence to process (Risk Management policies & process)
-100% adherence to the policy and procedures of operations in the company
Status report
-Weekly report on all activities to the Head of Risk Management and MD/CEO

Education and Experience

• Minimum of 3+ years relevant work experience in banking operations, Risk Analysis, Auditing, Internal Control etc.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting etc.

• Minimum performance rating of 85%

• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment

• Ability to work with minimal supervision

• Good analytic, report writing and problem-solving skills

• Good understanding of business process
